OPERA BY THE LAKES 2025

Sunday 16th March, 2025 at Nyerimilang Heritage Park

Gippsland Opera are proud to present for its tenth year Opera By The Lakes at the beautiful Nyerimilang Heritage Park on Sunday 16 March 2025.

We are very fortunate to obtain some of Australia’s top singers who also perform internationally: 

• Teddy Tahu Rhodes with his big, beautiful bass baritone voice. 
• Antoinette Halloran soprano, currently star of Vic Opera Sweeney Todd in Melbourne as Mrs Lovett. Much in demand, Antoinette has also starred for Opera Australia in La Boheme, and Madama Butterfly. 
• Shanul Sharma, one of very few tenors to be able to sing nine top Cs in a row. Shanul is currently singing the starring role in Ghandi in Germany 
• Mezzo soprano Dimity Shepherd, a delightful singer who we enjoyed last year. 
• This year we also have Will Hardy, recently star of Boy from Oz in Sale, a talented singer, dancer, but also a musician, and to top that, a local G.P. So much talent in one individual. 
• All of our singers are brilliantly supported by the wonderful David McNicol on the keyboard. 
  

Our audiences are also the ‘best ever’ - they bring such a happy atmosphere to the event, all of which contributes to making Opera by the Lakes something so very special!
